The Task Force on Fiscal Policy for Health co-chaired by
@MikeBloomberg and @LHSummers, of which I am a member, was created to address
the growing burden of #NCDs. Our analysis shows we could prevent 50 million
deaths over 50 years if countries implement taxes to raise prices of tobacco,
alcohol + sugary beverages by 50%.
Finance ministers could raise more revenues to invest in
programs that truly benefit poor people and include those at the bottom end of
