We refer to recent media publications linking Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to the suit between Yushau Shuaib and the Federal Government, currently pending before the National Industrial Court.
Reports have been erroneous in including Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as a party to the suit.
The National Industrial Court per Hon. Justice O. A. Shogbola delivered a ruling on 14th October 2014 upholding the preliminary objection challenging Dr. Okonjo-Iweala’s inclusion in the suit. Her name was accordingly struck out as a party to the suit for lack of a cause of action against her.
The media is advised to cease and desist from all further publications linking Dr. Okonjo-Iweala with the referenced suit.
